"We have enjoyed EIC
Connect and it's been
a very worthwhile
experience. It's a good
way of getting an idea
of what's out there in
the market and also
networking with
potential suppliers
and customers."

EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2012

   About this event

Following on from the hugely successful EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2010 which attracted over 800 individuals from across the energy sector, EIC Connect  will be returning to Manchester this coming November.

Taking place on the 27th and 28th November at Manchester Central, EIC Connect will bring together the world’s leading operators and EPC contractors who will be attending to update UK suppliers on how to do business with them from a series of presentations in the main exhibition hall. Their sessions will be supplemented by One-2-One Meetings where delegates will have the opportunity to put their products and services forward to the decision makers, particularly on overseas energy projects.

The event will be opened by a Keynote Speaker in the main conference foyer to an expected 1000 delegates. The guest speaker will be introduced by the CEO of the EIC, Ian Stokes who will explain the proceedings and encourage delegates to maximize the opportunity to develop globally.

In the main event, presentations from global operators and contractors will take place simultaneously in the exhibition hall.

  • Speakers will outline opportunities for UK companies on their international projects with high value opportunities from across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors
  • Presenters repeat their sessions 3 times to see as many companies as possible and allow the delegates to cross over into the conference
  • Speaker companies carry out 1-2-1 appointments with suppliers on the day that they aren’t presenting on a pre-arranged basis
  • 800 delegates are expected and these will typically include Sales Managers, Project Managers, Business Development Managers, etc from across the UK supply chain

In the adjoining conference, each ½ day will be dedicated to a key topic such as Ultra Deepwater, What’s left to explore; LNG and Unconventional Gases.

  • Each session will be chaired by an industry leader/ figurehead to moderate and encourage audience interaction
  • An operator and/or contractor will be invited to deliver a 15-20 minute presentation
  • A leading fabricator and/or supplier will also be invited to deliver a presentation after the main speaker
  • 200 additional delegates are expected and the conference will attract Managing Directors, Business Development Directors, etc. drawn from across the UK energy industry
